We are proud to announce that Attention contributed once again to quality design, which has beeen recognized by the jury at the Red Dot Design Award. BROEN’s new Ballofix valve received a Red Dot Award 2015!
In 2013 BROEN wanted to change the grip on the world famous Ballofix valve. The goal was to design a more ergonomic shape, increase the functionality, and develop a clearer graphic profile.
Design Director Kalle Jon Nordbo and industrial designer Berker Diker from Attention, together with the engineering team from BROEN, developed the new grip.
More than just a grip
The Danish company BROEN has been developing innovative, energy-saving solutions for over 60 years, and Ballofix valves have been a familiar sight in Danish bathrooms since the 1950s. In fact at the present time, the Ballofix valve can be found at 110 million plumbing installations worldwide.
The new Ballofix valve has a functional design, which is ergonomic and spectacular. The larger size and the improved ergonomic profile make it easier for the user to operate.
The robust valve is made of tough, reinforced plastic. It’s enhanced functionality is also reflected in the design with the the customisable hot / cold color indicators, as well as the the open / close symbols on the lever. The handle has been crafted so that it can be removed in seconds for easy maintenance and replacement.
Attention wants to congratulate BROEN on the award, that we are proud to have contributed to.
